Success is Silent

Success by definition would mean many different things to different people. That is because how one defines success would be dependant on their perception, or how they see the world. And so, many gauge their success by how things appear in relation to the ideals they hold in mind. This however is a very limited way of perceiving success and one that keeps one’s mental and emotional bodies in discordant and disquieted states of being.

Although few recognize it the feeling [experience] of success has very little to do with how one’s life appears to others. Most are unaware of this due to an over concern with the outer world and lack of awareness of one’s inner world. No matter how things may appear out there in the world without mental, emotional, and spiritual growth one’s experience can not feel complete. It is simply a matter of consequence. One can not focus on just the outer world and experience wholeness and fulfillment within. All one would be able to experience is the appeasement of mind, glimpsing satisfaction for temporary periods of time.

The experiential dimension is a blend of one’s inner and outer worlds. Although one would believe that the outer world is objective, they really can’t verify that beyond a subjective conclusion. The concept only exists in the duality of mind and isn’t an absolute reality. Once the humility of spirit reveals itself it becomes clear that one has simply only been able to see a reflection of their inner world as their perception of the outer world. It is this revelation that opens one up to the silent secret of wisdom.

If one’s idea of success includes wisdom then we can understand how it isn’t really an external quality that can be shown. If one’s idea of success includes happiness and fulfillment then we can understand how it wouldn’t really rely on anything outside of ourselves. Sourcing from one’s inner power then one may say that success is silent; as are wisdom, happiness, and fulfillment.

The story of the person who had everything they imagined but happiness and fulfillment is classic to human life. It is classic because it is the mainstream destiny for those who devote themselves to the path of self satisfaction, at the cost of Self deprivation. Of course many do so unknowingly or in ignorance of True Self. And that would be the karmic path for us at that time.

It can take many lifetimes before one consolidates a more wholistic comprehension of Self. Like all of Life’s seeming secrets, it’s not out there, it must be unveiled or revealed within.

Thanks for reading and more to come,
