There is only One relationship

What’s the power of developing one’s relationship with life? Spiritual awareness; which can lead to the revelation of True Self. But that would mean very little to someone who prioritizes their outer relationships as most important. Why is that? Well, it would be due to an ignorance of what is possible in this life. If one doesn’t believe that it is possible to improve their quality of life by focussing on the source of Life itself, then it’s likely that they won’t even consider it.

Ironically, there is only one relationship in Life — which is with Life — and that relationship is reflected in how one perceives the relationships they have with all things within it. So then, where is this relationship with Life? If one were to shift into the witness/observer it then becomes obvious that it is within you all the time. One doesn’t have a choice but to carry how they feel about life with them from moment to moment. It may be referred to as a relationship with oneself. Now depending on what one aligns with as a sense of — Self or self — is what will determine how fulfilling that relationship will be.

The consequence of a relationship with Self — the source or spirit of Life— would be fulfillment. The consequence of a relationship with a personal self, or ego, would be a lack of fulfillment. In principal it really is that simple. How can it be that simple? Well if one is fulfilled within, then doesn’t it make sense that they would bring that fulfillment with them into every other relationship they experience? And in the same way if one is not fulfilled within, then doesn’t it make sense that they would bring that lack of fulfillment with them into every other relationship they experience? They would because it is the quality of what they are.

Truly, there is only one relationship and one doesn’t really begin to make radical spiritual progress until that relationship is given priority. When it is given top priority then naturally the intention will arise to have that relationship with every person, place, or thing. Thus, by virtue of one’s devotion to the development of their relationship with Life itself all conceivable relationships become unified.
